If you have lost your phone or it has been stolen, you should do the following:
Call support at +45 8888 7799. We block your SIM card 24/7. The sooner you block your SIM card, the lower the risk of misuse.* There is no charge for blocking a lost or stolen mobile phone.
Report the theft to the police and your insurance company.
Ask the police to block your mobile phone in a dedicated register. For this, you will need your phone’s IMEI number. It is therefore important to keep this number, which can be found on the phone (often under the battery). The number is also listed on your receipt and on the original box the phone came in.
What does Dstny do?
We immediately block your SIM card for usage, preventing both outgoing and incoming calls. This means calls, SMS, MMS, and data usage are all blocked. Please note that this is a temporary solution, and you will still be charged any subscription fees, etc., even if your number is blocked.
* Please note that you are liable for all usage until the moment you request the card to be blocked via support. Also be aware that you will continue to pay subscription/minimum usage fees even if your SIM card is blocked.
Your liability after your phone number has been blocked
If your mobile phone has been stolen, the Danish Payment Services Act (§61 and §62) applies. This means your SIM card is treated similarly to a debit card, and you are liable for up to DKK 1,100 of any usage made by the thief. This is conditional on, among other things, you not having shared your PIN code with the person who misused your phone, and that you contacted us to block your SIM card immediately after discovering it was missing. In cases of gross negligence, your liability may be up to DKK 8,000, and unlimited if you have acted fraudulently.
Reactivation of a blocked SIM card
If you recover your mobile phone, you can have your SIM card reactivated by contacting support. Please note that there is a fee of DKK 99 (excl. VAT) for lifting a SIM card block.
How to get a new SIM card
If you need a new SIM card, your company’s administrator must contact customer service at +45 8888 7777. A new SIM card costs DKK 99 (excl. VAT).
If you have lost your phone or suspect misuse of your SIM card, it is important to block it quickly to prevent unauthorized use.
Note: You must be a Dstny customer for us to block your SIM card.
